Ecosilk bags are an excellent replacement for the environmentally invasive plastic shopping bag.   They are made of parachute silk and are many times stronger than the plastic bag, being able to hold up to 14 kilos in weight.  They come in lovely bright colours and are versatile enough to use for other shopping needs as well as groceries.   They can be folded up to a very small size and you can easily hold four of these in the average sized handbag, while still having lots of room for everything else you put in your handbag.  Think of all of those green bags you have bought that sit in the boot of your car while you are in the supermarket shopping.  You will never again be caught without a bag while shopping.   They can be used over and over again and are easily washed in the washing machine.
