A complete DIY Kit to convert a 26" bicycle into an E-bike.

This kit is manufactured by Grubee Inc. and has a 90 day warranty on parts. Please note that there are more powerful motors on the market but 200 watts is the highest permissible power that is allowed to be applied to a pushbike and still be legal on Australian roads. This means that you can go anywhere on a 200 watt bike that you can on a pedal-powered bike.

The Kit includes:

* A street legal 200 watt efficient high torque planetary geared hub motor in the front wheel with tyre included.

* Two lockable steel battery boxes.

* Twist accelerator.

* Rear brake incorporating electrical cut-off switch.

* Electronic controller box.

* 240 volts AC to 24 VDC charger.

* Assorted wires, ties and clips.

Note. Batteries are not included, but may be purchased seperately from this Ebay shop. Batteries are not permitted to be posted therefore I can only supply the Adelaide area by delivery or pickup. The batteries that fit are Exide HGL 18-12.  or equivalent. 181mm x 76mm x 167mm.

Features the ability for a STANDING START! This motor begins to work instantly. You do not have to get to 10kph before you feel the motor working. This is due to the high torgue of using planetary gears. Other larger-looking motors are Direct Drive and seem more powerful because of their size. They are not! This motor may look small but it packs a punch!

 Q: The bike I have has 8 gears in the rear wheel hub. Will this work OK? Do you still use gears once this is installed.?
A: The motor wheel is swapped into the front forks leaving your gears on the rear wheel unaffected. Please be aware that your bike's front brakes must be caliper type, not disc.
