This listing is for POPPY RED - a good, bright, pillar-box red.

This is part of the "TARTRANIL" range... these colourings are tartrazine-free. Tartrazine is a chemical linked to hyperactivity in some children. They are a few pence more than standard colourings, but obviously worth it if parents feel they are that little bit safer / healthier.

IMPORTANT REQUEST . . . problems are rare but should anything cause you concern such as non-delivery after a week-or-so, please don't hesitate to phone us direct on 08456 589 100 (local rate call) or on +44 1555 890111 if you're outside the UK. Please don't try to contact us by email because (1) we can receive over 1,000 emails a day - a volume which is physically impossible for a small family firm to answer daily, and (2) the eBay Message Service as it is notoriously unreliable . . . you'll get frustrated thinking we're ignoring you but, in fact, we won't even know you've tried to contact us. We're honest sellers and have taken a bit of a battering with feedback recently . . . if you look carefully at the comments you'll see almost all are because buyers did not contact us first.

Royal Mail are pretty reliable (although they admit to losing millions of items every year) so it's not unheard of for a parcel to be delayed, get damaged or go missing once in a while. Please also remember this parcel will not fit through a letterbox, so if you're not at home the Postie should leave a card to advise you of an attempted delivery. Experience shows they sometimes "forget" so it's always a good idea to phone your local Royal Mail Delivery Office to check if a parcel is lying there for you if nothing arrives in around a week's time. Please believe us . . . we send hundreds of parcels every week and this happens all the time.

For example: 2nd class can easily take up to a week (Royal Mail quote "3-4 working days"), 1st class Recorded Delivery is 1-3 days and Special Delivery is guaranteed next day by 1pm - if it's late they refund your postage costs. We post orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We try to ship most orders within 24 hours but please allow up to 48 hours.

INGREDIENTS: Sugarflair© paste colourings have no flavouring (eg "Liquorice Black" does not have an liquorice flavour). They are glycerol/sugar based and are fat free, nut free, GMC free.

SHADE / COLOUR: there's no real way of showing true shade of this colouring on eBay because of my photography and because the colours in the photo may look totally different on someone else's PC monitor. The best I can do is refer you to the name of the colour, knowing that most buyers will already be familiar with these excellent colours. Shades and consistency can vary by tiny, tiny amounts due to manufacturing tolerances, temperature and storage. These variations are tiny and are rarely ever noticed.

FOOD SAFETY: eBay discourage the sale of "food" for obvious reasons. We are selling this product as a "cake decorating ingredient" to ensure we stay within eBay guidelines but please note we are a specialist sugarcraft shop.... we guarantee these are brand new, sealed in original packaging with safety lids and that everything is stored and handled in professional, hygienic conditions at all times. Never buy edible products from private eBay sellers - you have no idea how they have been stored (think smoking, dogs, kids etc).

COMBINED POSTAGE / SHIPPING: because of Royal Mail's new size/weight guidelines, the P&P is fairly high if you're buying just 1 pot. We offer good P&P discounts for multiple purchases, so why not take the opportunity to stock up on colours or some other items from our eBay Shop? Wait on our PayPal invoice and we'll offer the best combined P&P rate. Please note that if you decide to pay before we can adjust the P&P, we are unable to refund any difference retrospectively due to the massive amount of time this takes to do this through PayPal and bring ebay records up-to-date. P&P charges include protective packaging, franking labels and 101 other incidental expenses... we never intentionally inflate our P&P charges.

RETURNS: we cannot accept returns of edible items - even if unopened. Once the colourings arrive from Sugarflair, they never leave our premises until sold. We can control hygiene, storage temperature and conditions. We would never re-sell an item returned by a customer for all sorts of food safety and hygiene reasons, therefore we cannot accept returns unless the product is faulty. Edible items are exempt from the ebay 14-day returns policy. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If an item is faulty or has been supplied incorrectly (i.e. not as described) we will refund or replace at our expense. If an item arrives damaged we will help you claim and will refund or replace as you prefer.

If you simply change your mind, returns will be accepted on UNUSED/UNOPENED items within 14 days for refund or exchange. Items must be in re-saleable condition.

Edible items, customized (e.g. hand-painted) items, cut ribbon and items coming into contact with food (e.g. cake boards) are exempt from returns policy. As food safety and hygiene are our prime concerns, even unopened edible items cannot be returned. Every item we sell is brand new and we can guarantee has NOT been previously returned by another customer. For YOUR safety, this policy is non-negotiable.

If you prefer a refund, we will refund original item price (not P&P) less 20% restocking fee to cover eBay and PayPal charges and handling. If you prefer a replacement, you only have to pay for the P&P.
