an extraordinary and stunning collection of vintage costume jewelry
mixed with some very fine jewelry as well.
This lot consist of the following:
The rhinestone flagship of the costume jewelry is an iridescent rhinestone
necklace with matching earrings.
This set is from the 40's, possibly earlier.
Bursting with color, the stones are primarily reds and blues,
all prong-set. The matching earrings
are of the clip-on type.
Total length of necklace is 15-1/4", with adjustable clasp.
Earrings measure 1-1/4" tall.
The garnet stone necklace and bracelet set is also from the 40's or earlier.
Very high quality with loads and loads of stones, all prong set.
There is one small stone missing on the bracelet clasp
and 2 little danglies missing from the front design of the necklace.
(Clearly shown in photographs) It could use a cleaning.
Necklace measures 16".
A very delicate opal necklace consisting of 4 prong-set opals on a gold chain.
I do not know if the gold in this piece is real, but the opals are
and they have a nice fire.
The stone bracelet is not as old as the others, it is a heavy 925 silver
piece with gorgeous stones.
I do not know what type of stones they are, but they are real.
This bracelet measure 8" long with an adjustable clasp and is made in India.
There are 2 pairs of pierced earrings, both with garnet stones.
The square set measures 3/8" square.
The other more elaborate pair of earrings are so beautiful.
They measure 1/2" in diameter and are loaded with marquis-cut garnets
and what I assume to be clear crystal prong-set rhinestones that look like diamonds.
There are no backs to either pair of earrings.
There are 2 gold crosses, the large one measures 1" tall
and is made of 10K gold.
The smaller one measures 3/4" tall and is marked 1/20 12K G.F.
which I believe means gold plated.
There is a small wooden brooch with a miniature hand-painted scene.
It measures 1" in diameter and is very pretty.
I do not think this piece is as old as the rest of this collection,
but it is certainly not new. Probably about 20 years old.
There is a stray clasp in the collection,
I don't know what it originally went to, but it's
very nice. Etched gold or goldtone metal with a large garnet prong-set stone.
There is a lovely costume pendant with no chain.
The large rectangle prong-set blue stone has 3 crystal-clear rhinestones
along the top. It measures 3/4" tall.
The final piece in the collection is a very fine brooch in the shape of a wishbone.
It measures just over 1" tall and is made of 10K gold.
All pieces in this collection are in excellent condition
Any exception to that, any damage at all,
is clearly mentioned in the description.
You will not be disappointed with this lot, it is very, very nice.
