The mild Hungarian chilli is so named because it was developed in Hungary, they are also known as banana chillies. The chillies are orange red when ripe, but most people pick them while still yellow, before they ripen. The peppers have thin walls and are usually used fresh in salads, but they are also pickled. This is a popular garden chilli and a reliable producer in cooler climates.
