 Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (1985)

    Welcome to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School, a Catholic girls` school in the heart of Chicago, home of the Cubs, the White Sox and the nation`s number one, primo dance show, DTV!

    Janey Glenn (Sarah Jessica Parker), a transfer student, is a nervous wreck as she is introduced to her giggling classmates by the stern Sister Katherine, who encourages her to "tell us something about yourself". "Well", Janey begins, "I like listening to music... doing gymnastics and... (large smile) I love to dance!"

    The word ripples through the classrooms until he reaches the ears of Lynne Stone (Helen Hunt). Later that afternoon, Janey and Lynne meet on the school bus and an instant friendship is born. They dream of being selected as the new "DTV" dance regulars, so they attend an open audition, teenage boys, Drew and Jeff, who have had the same idea...
