Metalwork Theory: Book 2 by P.F. Lye.  Paperback book (booklet) published by George G. Harrap 1966, 72 pages with black and white illustrations.  An educational book used in the teaching of Metalwork.  Chapters include: The twist drill, Cutting lubricants, Soft soldering, Tinplate, The Bick iron and extinguisher stake, The forge, Blast Furnace reaction etc etc. The following is from page 7.  To The Teacher:  These books are intended to supplement the teaching given in the workshop, either in conjunction with supervised work in school or for homework.  The sections do not have to be used in the order in which they are presented here, but can easily be integrated into your own teaching scheme. To The Student: Before answering the questions read carefully the section con­cerned, and examine the drawing if one is provided. You should then find the questions quite easy to answer. Answer in complete sentences and make your writing clear and neat. Your drawing should be as large as possible, and certainly not smaller than the ones in the book. Sketch your drawings very lightly to begin with, then, when you have the outline well spaced on the paper, it can be filled in firmly and detail added. You should be able to answer every question correctly. Look after your book carefully and take a pride in your work.  This book is in good condition.  The cover is in good condition.  There is some wear to the edges and corners (some bumping).  There is some fading to the spine area.  There is some shelf wear overall as well as some minor marks and some creasing.  The book itself is in good condition.  There is some wear and marks to the outer edges. There is some wear to the corners (some bumping).  The front endpaper has a name and date written on it.  There are a few minor marks to the inside front and back covers.  There is some yellowing of the pages.  Overall a good copy, there is some slight wear.  PLEASE NOTE: cheap postage on this item. $1.65 within Australia or $6.30 for international postage.

Postage costs are Australia Post prices http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/   I do not charge for packaging (as I use recycled packaging), or for handling.  Any questions regarding the item or postage costs please email me before bidding.  All questions are welcome.

At the end of the auction I will send you an invoice with postage this may take a few hours (or minutes) depending on my schedule.  Please do not pay until I have sent you an invoice.

I post up to 5 times a week, excluding Saturday and Sunday.   I generally post within 24 hours of receiving payment (excluding weekends and public holidays).

AUSTRALIAN BUYERS (postage within Australia):

Books can be heavy.

0 to 250g   Items under 250g will be posted as a parcel or a large letter depending on size.  This means postage will be between $1.10 and $4.35.

250g to 500g   Postage will be $5.60

500g +  A parcel post satchel (up to 3kg) is $9.90 to anywhere within Australia.  This is the cheapest option for items over 500g or multiple items interstate (usually 3 to 4 books depending on size).  Within Victoria postage is cheaper depending on where you are.  For large items, heavy or multiple items please email me for a price on postage.

Pick up is possible by arrangement.

Books can be heavy. This can mean that postage on a book will be expensive.  Please please please email me before bidding if you have any concerns.  I offer sea mail postage on most items to most destinations where possible (not Italy).  SEA MAIL will take up to 12 WEEKS excluding delays.
