Australian Stamp Packs

In 1983 Australia Post produced a special edition stamp pack that included Fred McCubbin's $2 'On the Wallaby Track', Arthur Streeton's $5 'McMahon's Point' and Tom Robert's $10 'Coming South'.  The stamps were overprinted in red with the word 'SPECIMEN' and sold as a fundraiser to assist staging the largest International Stamp Exhibition ever held in Australia, AUSIPEX '84 in Melbourne.  To this set we have added the 1984 $5 'Holiday at Mentone' stamps also overprinted 'SPECIMEN'

Suggestion: If you only collect mint stamps you may consider buying these packs as an alternative and simply remove the stamps
