This awesome drum stands 70 cm tall and the head is 38 cm wide with an actual playing surface of approx 32cm This is a BIG drum
This drum uses the pro 3 metal ring system on the top to keep the skin in place, as well as extra tension points of rope
Ones like this would retail for $400 easy
It has an awesome clear crisp sound and a booming bass note, great for all levels of player including professional. Notice the extra tension points around the skin to keep the skin nice and tight
Very detailed deep tribal carving all the way around the base
Although it looks great it is not an ornament, it is a high quality musical intrument
Made from top quality plantation grown mahogany wood, no rainforests are cut down to make these drums
The wooden shell is 1 Piece of wood, this is a must for superior sound and durablity
The skin is natural goat skin from the back of the goat where it is thickest and strongest, treated professionally during manufacture as to avoid gamma radiaton treatment as many other imported drums require which makes their skin brittle and easy to break
The rope is quality heavy duty non stretch alpine rope, similar to that used by mountain climbers, so it will keep tension in the skin. Its the one with 4 smaller threads inside an outer thread, this is the best one you can get, most other sellers use the cheaper rope
