I am selling this camera as I have just purchased a new Canon 7D, and can't justify keeping 2 cameras. It has been very well cared for, and primarily used to make photographic images for eBay and for personal use. Most of the time it is kept indoors and when taken outside, it is carried in a quality camera bag.
The camera has approx 7200 actuations (that ought to eliminate a few questions!).
I have been very, very happy with this camera, it's just that I like to upgrade cameras when new models become available. You will be very pleased with the performance of this camera....I guarantee it!
I have found this camera fantastic to use - the auto focusing in particular is extremely fast and reliable, and the camera is an incredibly high quality one, making it an ideal companion on any trip.
The camera was purchased out of Victoria, Australia in October 2008. It is not an overseas model. It cost me $1829. I can include a copy of the invoice if you want it.
It has the latest firmware from Canon already installed, and I'm going to included a Kingston 1Gb compact flash card so the new owner can use the camera right out of the box. I'll even make sure the batteries are charged up!
The camera is used, but is in virtually new condition! There are some very, very minor scratches on the body from normal use, but these are just superficial. Look at the photos!
When I purchased the camera I wanted to protect the LCD screens on the back and top, so I put on a clear protective LCD cover on both. It's good to have no worries about damaging the LCD viewing screen during use. They are perfect.

Comes with original box/packaging, battery charger, and all CD's, cables and instruction manuals.
The battery charger (Compact Power Adapter CA-PS400) is a double charger that takes 2 batteries. It is the charger that came with my original Canon D30. This charger is now an extra accessory that you purchase afterwards.
This compact charger and AC adapter can charge two BP-511 battery packs simultaneously at a rate of 90 minutes each. Also, when used with the DC-Coupler DR-400, it allows the camera to use power directly from an AC power source. I must admit that I've never used it this way!
I regret parting with this charger, as it's far more useful and better built than the single chargers usually included with the Canon cameras, but my new Canon 7D uses a different battery. My new charger is 'rubbish' compared to this one!
Also included is a Canon EF 35-80mm f4-5.6 Series 3 lens which mates perfectly to this camera. It is a standard Canon zoom lens. It is in very good cosmetic condition, and perfect operating condition. If you are not interested in it, or have your own lens already, you can deduct $50.00 off the final auction price.

There are over 200 EOS EF compatible lenses available that you can use with this camera. These include manufacturers such as Canon, Tokina, Tamron, Sigma (the big four), but also the smaller manufacturers such as Cosina, Vivitar, Phoenix, Bower, Spiratone, Carl Zeiss Jena....plus all the manual focus lenses that you can attach!
The compact flash card is a Kingston 1Gb one.
It will give you over 170 images at the highest JPEG resolution.

PAYMENT
Please have payment to me within 7 days. Advise me if you are posting payment, or if there are any short-term issues that are delaying payment....just so I know what's happening.
If I don't hear from you by the 7th day, I will assume that you are a Non-Paying Bidder. I WILL lodge a 'non-payment' complaint with eBay, and will re-list the item. I've been getting far too many non-payers in the past few weeks, especially from new members. I'm nearly at the point where I will start cancelling bids from eBayers with a zero (0) history.
For Australian bidders, payment by either:
1. PAYPAL
2. Direct deposit into my bank account.
3. Cheque (I will post the item after your cheque clears).
For international bidders, preferred payment method is:
1. PayPal
2. International Money Orders / cashiers cheques in AUSTRALIAN dollars.
Add a further AUD $10 (USD $8) to cover bank fees if sending International Money Orders / cashiers cheques in currency other than Australian dollars.

POSTAGE
All items are packaged with EXTRA care and dispatched after payment is received. I try to use quality recycled packing material if possible, it helps the planet.
PLEASE READ THIS: I generally pack items on the weekend, and post them early in the week (usually Monday, but occasionally Tuesday…. depending on what my work schedule allows). I clearly state in the listing that I will post within 5 WORKING DAYS of receiving CLEARED PAYMENT. I have a life outside of eBay: this includes a family and a full time job!

With Paypal pretty much being the only payment option available, I need to be able to provide proof of posting, and a tracking number should an item go "missing". This is the only way PayPal’s "Buyer Protection Program" will cover us.
Within Australia, I generally use Express Post or Registered Post. They both have tracking numbers and have AUD$100.00 insurance included.
Express Post usually takes 2-3 working days to anywhere in Australia. Note that I DO NOT live within Australia Post's over-night network.
Registered Post takes approximately 5-7 working days to the east coast of Australia (I’m in Perth…. 3500-4000km from Vic or NSW!!), but could be up to 2 weeks depending on the post office. I have NO control over this. Do not email and/or whinge at me due to the post office's slow delivery.....I can't help you. YOU can call them!
I will occasionally use Regular Post for small and/or inexpensive items. Please note that there is NO insurance included and NO way to track an item this way. For a small extra fee, registration is advisable.
I have never had a Registered Post or Express Post item go missing in transit.
I’ve had 2 or 3 Regular Post items go missing over the years, but I’m sure that the “non-receiver” was trying to deceive me into refunding their purchase costs while keeping the item I had sent!!
Pick up is fine....but ONLY at a mutually convenient time from my work address in Kelmscott.

Do you really want to buy from someone selling a "Hoya 58mm skylight 1A telephoto zoom lens" in perfect condition, who thinks that it fits a Canon camera? Perhaps you want to buy from someone selling a Minolta AF compatible item (eg tele-converter clearly marked 'M-AF'), but they tell you it fits a Nikon AF cameras?
Just remember there are many people out there selling photographic equipment who do not know if the item works, is fault-free, what sort of camera it fits, or even if it's clean and fungus-free!
