The beauty and lore of COINS Currency and medals By Elvira and Vladimir Clain-Stefanelli Curators of Numismatics Smithsonian Institution Published by Riverwood Publishers, Devon, 1975. Stated first published. Blue cloth hard cover with pictorial dust jacket. 215 x 290 mm tall. 256 pages. 1.25 kilograms. Book is in very good condition + apart from having a mylar covering (which may actually be a positive thing, as it has been correctly applied and as such can be removed without leaving any damage to the book or dust jacket). Otherwise binding is tight, no inscriptions, and photos and text are bright. A magnificent book on the history and beauty of Coins, Currency, and Medals from Primitive Objects, to Ancient Greek, Roman, Far Eastern, and American Coinage. Also, paper Money, and Medals, and the fascinating world of counterfeiting. Superbly illustrated with over 100 color plates, and 200 black and white photographs by Lee Boltin, and a selected bibliography. Im happy to combine postage, so maybe check out my other listings and see if there is something you like. Up to 3kg can be sent for about $10 postage within Australia. If you decide to pay by direct deposit, please use your ebay user name in the transaction description so I can tell what has been paid for. Thanks for looking.
