White Tea (Camellia sinensis) - China. White tea oil is steam distilled from the freshly picked tea leaves and buds of the Camellia sinensis plant. It has a fresh, light floral scent, excellent for perfuming skin creams and lotions - it is also known to contain anti-oxidants, which are beneficial for skincare products. The oil is known to be antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, bactericidal, carminative, cordial, deodorant, digestive, cephalic, tissue regenerator, stimulant to nervous & immune systems, sedative and tonic. It may be useful in treating anxiety, depression, nervous tension, PMT, shock, stress-related conditions and palpitations, as well as for the immune system when treating colds, coughs, fever or infection. In skincare use to treat acne, scars, dermatitis, wrinkles, cellulite, and to heal sensitive or damaged skin. WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY
... is the controlled use of plant-derived aromatic oils for medicinal purposes, whether to remedy a cold, assist in healing a burn, to uplift and energise, or to aid the insomniac in falling asleep. Basically speaking, AROMATHERAPY is about the effects of Essential Oils on both the body and the mind, achieved by absorbing the oils through the skin via massage or aromatic baths, or via the nose using oil diffusers or vaporisers.
TRUE OILS VS SYNTHETIC
Be wary of fake, synthetic versions of Aromatherapy oils - the term is often tossed about with little regard for ethics. True ESSENTIAL OILS are plant derived and entirely natural, and are believed to possess numerous healing qualities. However, if a product is called a 'fragrant oil' or 'essence' then it is a synthetic version and carries no therapeutic benefit. The packaging may even include the term AROMATHERAPY, but unless you see the words 'Essential Oil' and the full plant name, you can guess it's a fake - and quite probably made with petroleum-based ingredients, not something you want to be breathing in or applying to your skin. Beware oils that come in clear packaging - true Essential Oils are vulnerable to light and should always be packaged in amber, cobalt or green glass. Avoid oils packaged in plastic, oils that seem unnaturally cheap, or that cost the same across the range. Beware also of buying oils that are diluted - some expensive oils are available as 3% oil in a base of jojoba - make sure this is what you want before you buy it: if an Essential Oil is diluted in a carrier oil you cannot use it in an oil burner, for example, and it's difficult to blend with other oils.

Our very special Premium oils are for anyone who appreciates quality: a range of top-of-the-line yet inexpensive oils including organic (where noted), top grades of oils and plant species, sought after countries of origin, and many unusual and hard to find oils including Narcissus, Roman Chamomile, White Tea and Passionfruit, all supplied in a sleek 10ml cobalt blue glass bottle with silver cap and cap-lid ID label (a necessity!).
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PREMIUM and STANDARD OILS?
PLANT PARTS: Many lower grade oils use cheaper plant parts in their manufacture. For example, the use of CINNAMON LEAF rather than CINNAMON BARK, which is considered of much higher quality. Similarly CLOVE BUD oil is considered of higher quality than CLOVE LEAF oil, and JUNIPER BERRY yields better quality oil than JUNIPER oil extracted from the plant's small branches. AROMA QUEEN PREMIUM oils are derived from the higher quality plant part.
PLANT TYPE: AROMA QUEEN PREMIUM uses high quality plant oils rather than cheaper, inferior versions. For example, PINE SCOTCH (Pinus sylvestris) or CEDARWOOD ATLAS (Cedarus atlantica). Our CHAMOMILE ROMAN is genuine and undiluted - not to be confused with cheaper and therapeutically inferior Chamomile Maroc.
EXTRA: Oils such as YLANG YLANG and BERGAMOT are sold in various grades. During the distillation or cold-press extraction process, the first oil to be drawn off is of the highest quality, and is sold as 'EXTRA GRADE'. The oil that comes from the latter parts of the process are sold as '1st', '2nd' or '3rd' grade, and is of a poorer quality and perfume. AROMA QUEEN uses EXTRA GRADE for these oils.
ORGANIC: Many AROMA QUEEN PREMIUM oils are from Organic sources. These include oils such as CITRONELLA, EUCALYPTUS, LEMON, LEMONGRASS, SWEET AFRICAN ORANGE & TEA TREE.
THE BEST QUALITY: Wherever possible our PREMIUM range uses the best quality oils available - oils such as our PEPPERMINT, which is Premium Australian Peppermint; our ROSEMARY is a top notch French variety - and better for therapeutic use. Our FRENCH LAVENDER is simply divine. You only need to compare the aromas between standard commercial grade Lavender and our French Lavender to understand the difference in quality.

SAFETY NOTES
As a general rule most Aromatherapists advise against using Essential Oils during pregnancy, though others disagree. Oils to definitely avoid during pregnancy are: Arnica, Basil, Birch, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Cypress, Fennel, Jasmine, Juniper, Marjoram, Myrrh, Peppermint, Rosemary & Thyme. Also steer clear of Lavender & Rose during the first four months of pregnancy.
Anyone suffering from epilepsy should avoid Sweet Fennel, Sage & Hyssop.
People with high blood pressure should stay away from Hyssop, Rosemary, Sage & Thyme.
All Essential Oils should be diluted in a CARRIER OIL (eg, Jojoba or Sweet Almond Oil) before application to the skin. Dilute at a maximum ratio of 3%, less for around the facial area. The only exceptions are neat Lavender or Tea Tree, which may be used directly on burns or small wounds. See separate CARRIER OIL listings for AROMA QUEEN'S Carrier Oil range.
A few oils cause photosensitisation, or sensitivity to UV light and should not be applied to skin before exposure to the sun. These include: Angelica, Bergamot (unless 'Bergaptene Free'), Cumin, Lemon, Lime (unless 'Distilled' rather than 'Cold Pressed'), Orange & Verbena.
NEVER INGEST essential oils. Always KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN: large amounts of Essential Oil may be toxic if swallowed. Immediately contact your local Poisons Hotline if ingested. If Essential Oils get into eyes, immediately wash with whole milk or carrier oil, followed by water. Some people may experience an allergic reaction or sensitisation to a specific oil. If this is the case, discontinue use immediately.
Always remember, Aromatherapy is intended to complement, not replace traditional medicine.

SHIPPING
We're happy to combine postage for all auctions completed within a 7 day period, and always aim for the most economical postage option available, dependent on the weight of your order. This includes the Australia Post cost, cost of padded satchels, and safe bubble-wrapped packaging for all delicate items. Generally pay the standard postage for the most expensive item, then add approx $0.50 for each bottle of Essential Oil, or $1 - $2 for any additional larger AQ products, to a MAXIMUM of $12.00, no matter how many items you buy. If you'd like a quote before purchasing, just send us a message with your list, otherwise just make your separate purchases and then request a total from the Checkout Screen BEFORE MAKING ANY PAYMENTS and we'll manually send through the updated postage cost (please don't rely on Ebay to be accurate unless you've requested a total). Items will be shipped as soon as possible after payment has cleared - generally the same or next day - and we'll confirm their status every step of the way. We post daily!
