Acquiring this TV has been a matter of “good news/bad news”.
First, the “bad news”. An order was placed on 2nd September, with dispatch indicated as being 30th September. Dispatch was late revised to 30th October, then to 3rd November. The TV actually arrived on 6th November - but the (online) manual was not to be available until 9th November.
Now, the “good news”. The (online) manual actually became available on 8th November. Unpacking of the TV meant taking it from the very substantial carton, and removing the minimalistic (but very effective) internal packaging. A few minutes, to connect the various cables. Power on, and a few clicks of the “OK” button, to enter the ‘install wizard’, to select ‘location’, to run an automatic ‘channel scan’, to finalise and view a programme. Less than ten minutes, from start to finish - and the manual still un-opened! Too easy!
Verdict? Very good sound and picture. The sound seemed a little ‘harsh’, but very clear and plenty of volume. At a viewing distance of 3.5m, a sound level of 5 is more than adequate. However, turning up the volume to painful levels is quite feasible. Picture quality is great - crisp and clear definition, and vibrant colours. The remote control is easy to use, the buttons have a positive, yet easy to use, feel. If scoring, one would have to give at least 95%.
Cost wise? Lately several online stores have been edging close to Kogan’s prices, and for known brand names. However, there is still a wide gap to the prices of retail stores. Value is still a big feature, and a continuing incentive to ‘buy Kogan’. For my money - an excellent item and at good price. The 95% rating is again confirmed.
this tv gets 5 ut 5 from me its amazing quality all i have to say is the sounds a bit tinny but how cares it is the cheapist
