This print is one of the Persian miniature paintings by Mahmoud Farshchian which has painter’s signature on original painting. The name of painting is "The warmth of love” which was painted in 1978.

The dimensions of the image are 35 x 25cm (14 x 10 inch), and it has white border around 2cm each side of actual print and you could fit it into a suitable sized frame that is readily available at department stores and photo stores and it looks nice with different colour borders or without any border.

Persian miniature painting known as manuscript illumination, this art flourished in Iran from the 14th to the 17th centuries. It is an art of brilliant colours, masterful brushwork, graceful calligraphy. Materials were incredibly expensive, and included gold and silver leaf. Most importantly, the labour involved was tremendous: it was common for an artist to work for up to a year on a single painting. I feel this art is too beautiful and outstanding.Each one illustrates a different aspect of manuscript painting, in subject, style and technique. The themes of Persian miniature are mostly related to Persian mythology and poetry.

Mahmoud Farshchian: (January 24, 1930-) is a world renowned master of painting and miniatures. Famous contemporary miniaturist. His masterpieces have been hosted by several museums and exhibitions worldwide. He's the most prominent modernizer of the field of miniatures. He has been awarded more than ten prizes by various art institutes and cultural centers. He has brought new life to this art form and has freed it form the symbiotic relationship it has historically had with poetry and literature, to give it an indipendence it had not previously enjoyed.
