I have had success in melting down a small amount of the opaque melt & pour soap and then diluting it hugely with water. You end up with a liquid soap that is a bit 'goopy' but works really well and is incredibly inexpensive. I made around 20 litres from 100 grams of soap

A terrific soap for molding or shaping. Transparent - even when coloured so it is terrific for embedding plastic animals in soaps - children love them! Froth up with a whisk to make foamy peaks - shape into a lemon meringue pie & slice for novel gifts. Color blue and pour into a cellophane bag, add a plastic fish or two, allow to set and tie with elastic or string - How fun - goldfish in a bag soap! This soap can be easily sliced, even when fully set so it has great versatility. Fragrance with fruit flavours and pour into fruit shape molds - lovely !
Melt & Mold Soap Ingredients: for the opaque Soap Base :- sodium palmate (soap emulsifier made from Palm oil), sodium palm kernelate (derived from Palm oil), sodium cocoate (derived from coconut oil and acts as an emulsifier), propylene glycol (Propylene glycol is generally regarded as safe for use in food it is a derivative of natural gas), water (H2O /Aqua), glycerine (derived from coconut, palm kernel oil, and palm oils)
