DISCOVERIES TYPE «CRAB» SWORD

ON EXCAVETED CONDITION RARE

This type o African swords, made from the XVI to the XIX century, are inspired for the Discoveries swords of close double quillons known as «crab swords» for the form that the quillons are curved up on the blade. The present one, with missing grip and pommel, uses an european XVIII to XIX century short saber blabe. This swords are very rare to find even in the present condition.
