Ming Dynasty Astronaut
According to legend, the first man in space was not Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, but the lesser known Wan Hu, a Chinese Astrologer. It is said that in 1500 AD or thereabouts, Wan Hu decided to take advantage of China's recently invented gunpowder rocket technology and blast his way towards the stars. But did he make it to the stars? Or did he just go straight to heaven?
Free Energy
Adam and Jamie try to subvert the laws of science by getting something for nothing in the power stakes. Free energy fanatics claim that it is possible to create energy for free, gratis and for nothing, and the guys set out to nail this myth once and for all.
Killer Fan
A classic myth takes shape as the build team prepare a ghoulishly realistic dummy for the chop at the hands of a ceiling fan. Adam and Jamie guide the youngsters on their way as they test out reports that tangling with a fan will leave you with more than a headache.
Salsa Escape
Adam and Jamie investigate the myth that in 1996, Mexican prisoner Juan Lopez escaped from his jail cell using salsa. It sounds like the tallest of tall stories, but according to a jailbreak website, Lopez applied salsa to his cell bars for six years, causing them to corrode, then removed the bars and slipped away to freedom.
Cement Truck Mix Up
The entire gang is involved in testing out a construction industry myth. Can you remove cement build up from a cement mixer's barrel, using dynamite? According to some cement truck drivers, illegal fireworks like M80s and Cherry Bombs can do the trick. Take one cement truck, add 850 pounds of high explosive, and what have you got left?
