The Nerve Agents are one of the top-turns for Hellcat Records, and "The Butterfly Collection" (their third album) shows a distinct departure from previous sounds. The trademark "classic" Punk rant of Eric Ozenne is still there, but the tunes have a more quirky and off-the-wall nature than anything on "Days of the White Owl". Overtures of Minor Threat and Black Flag almost.

Fifteen tracks of short, sharp punk is the order of the day, not a single track weighing in at more than a couple of minutes, but that's how we like it, eh? Most tunes are foot-tappingly catchy ("Crisis", "Legend of H Gane Ciro" and "Frost"), but some are pure noise ("War Against!", "New Jersey"). Not as accomplished as "Days of the White Owl", but still this Butterfly Collection is a must-have for your own Punk Collection!

The Nerve Agents third album is brilliant challenging, fast paced hardcore masterpiece. Shame that they split after this really.

if you think this will be your average blink 182, Sum 41 pop punk then u will be sadly wrong. Nerve agents supply a more old skool sound nothing like your blink 182s pop punk style. to really get in the songs u have to listen to them numerous times the lyrics are fast and intense. I wouild have to give this Cd 5 star. reccomended to peenywise and AFI fans.
