Gently place the probe end into the ear of the patient, press the button and in less than a second the LCD will show you the temperature reading.

*For infants under 12 months, gently pull the ear down and back and place the ear thermometer probe into the entrance of the ear canal.

*12 months to adult, gently pull the ear up and back and place the infrared thermometer probe into the entrance of the ear canal.

This gives the infrared beam a clear passage of the eardrum to the tympanic membrane for a reading to be recorded. The infrared ear thermometer is an essential addition to any home first aid kit. Comes with soft protective zippered case.
